Sweet Birthday

Hope you all have had a lovely week! I was inspired to make a Birthday card with a dessert image  after seeing an adorable ice cream cone card in a back issue of Paper Crafts magazine. Heather went sorting through her digis (Lovin’ that!) to find the image and sentiment used on this sweetie of a card:

I used CPS sketch #37:

The image is a freebie from Designed to Delight: http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=267 It was digitally colored by Heather.  I layered it like a decoupage and added glittery highlights. The sentiment is part of a set available free at http://beyondthefringecrafts.blogspot.com/2011/10/birthday-awning-card-and-free-digis.html I cut the scalloped oval with scallop scissors. The paper lace was cut with a Fiskars edge punch. The embossing was done with a Cuttlebug folder. I just love it! It’s good enough to eat!
