Musical Valentine

I’ve been meaning to make a Valentine card using one of my darling House Mouse images. I made this one today while chatting on speakerphone with my son and daughter-in-law in Germany.

I used the CPS sketch #54. I flipped it and added a few tweaks of my own: 

Some of you may know that I was a semi-professional marimbaist and music has always been a big part of my life. I love this digi sentiment Heather created for me to go with the sweet meeces! The image is House Mouse ”Tickling the Ivories”. I colored them with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I didn’t have a good way to do the scallops shown in the sketch but I’m really happy with how the eyelet lace substitution looks!
