Easel Cards

My daughter and I have been busy finishing up our easel cards! The easel card directions can be found at Split Coast Stampers. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/easelcard/ They were so much fun to make!

This is my daughter’s card for a winter birthday. Isn’t it pretty? She made the large and medium snowflakes using a Martha Stewart corner punch from a ‘punch around the page’ set. If you’re interested in the technique, let me know and she might do a tutorial. The center of the snowflake was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, trimmed, and then brushed with a Studio G small inkpad to add color to the embossing. The small snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch and Sizzix die. The sentiment is a digi from Create with TLC. She used a Gelly Roll pen to add shimmer and highlight to the word ”wishes”. Look at all the challenges she was able to enter with this card! Wow!

This is my card. I used a fabulous cake digi from http://paperprintables.com/ and sentiment from Create with TLC. The daisy is a Martha Stewart pop up punch and the lace was done with a Fiskars border punch. I also used a Gelly Roll pen to add shimmer to the cake, sentiment, and background.

  1. I love Easel Cards, and both of these are just beautiful, I particularly love the rounded corners and the beautiful snowflakes that you have made with the corner punch. I don’t think I would have the patience to do this (hence probably why they created die-cutting machines for people just like me)…lol. Thanks so much for joining us for our Inspiration Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays this week.
