Springtime in Paris

I’ve been so inspired by a blog I found recently. Sharon at http://smscrapperdesigns.blogspot.com/ has been making a series of tags lately with a Springtime in Paris theme and they are just amazing! She has so many layers of detail from the shimmer sprays and embossing techniques to the loveliest little embellishments. I was really inspired to make my own Springtime in Paris themed card.

I used CPS sketch #253:

I made the roses with a Tim Holz for Sizzix die and I inked the petals for a more natural looking blush of color. The doily they are on is a Nestabilities oval diecut. The black label shape behind the image is also a Tim Holz diecut. The images are from various digi sources. The bird is one of my own, taken from an old Victorian trade card image. I believe I shared it with you in a previous Freebie Friday post. The ”souvenir” tag is a freebie from http://farfarhill.blogspot.com/. The tickets were blank digis from http://misscutiepiegoes80s.blogspot.com/2009/12/freebie-matching-tickets.html. I then stamped them with unmounted sentiment stamps from Inkadinkadoo. The gorgeous Eiffel Tower image is a Victorian trade card image I found a while back on a public domain vintage image site. I just love the antique looking perfume bottle charm! Such a fun card to make!
