I was digging through my mom’s stash (I’m so lucky to get to craft with her!) and found this awesome poppy red and brown patterned paper. It appealed to me right away. Maybe it’s because the colors are so rich and saturated or maybe because it’s a different palette than I usually use.
I made this card at our monthly stamping get-together with friends and coworkers. It’s such a fun night. We get to see what everyone else is doing, share each other’s stamps and stash, learn a new technique and participate in challenges for fun! I fell in love with this gorgeous dragonfly stamp I borrowed from my friend, Lynn.
I inked the image and the edges with a coffee colored pigment pad. The flower is one of my own, made by hand embossing the petals of punched flower shapes.
